This Moissanite tester is designed to test if a stone is a Diamond or Moissanite. Moissanite is a Diamond simulant that will test as a Diamond on a regular Diamond tester. 
 
Important instructions:
 
1) Firstly the stone in question must be a clear/white stone that you believe is a Diamond. 
2) This stone will need to be tested with a regular Diamond Tester "e.g. the black Diamond Tester that we sell". 
3) If the stone test as a Diamond you then would use this tester to determine if the stone is a genuine Diamond or a Moissanite. You also need to hold down the button on the back when testing the stone.
 
We highly recommend using both testers as described above. We also sell both together as a combo.
